You probably noticed some diets and some ads for diet pills above. Go ahead and click on the diet ads, since they support this website. But please be careful about diet pills. I don't recommend them. They are not safe. They can make you sick. And, the weight you lose is just going to come back when you go off the pills.

That said, changing how you eat is not a bad idea. A sensible way to improve your diet is to make a few small changes in how you eat, and try to stick with them for a few months. For example, try giving up soda, juice or bought iced tea. Or eat chips OR candy, but not both. Or try to eat just one dessert a day. Or look at a package of snack food, and see what they say a serving size is. If a serving size is 12 chips, then eat 12, not 50!

Once you have made these small changes and stuck with them for a few months, you will have lost some weight. Now, try to make another change. For example, start eating fruit every day. Or start exercising.

The changes that you can make and keep are the ones that will get you thin!
