If you see ads for diet pills above, please be careful. They aren't safe, and they won't lead to long-lasting weight loss!
Q. What is the Zone diet?
A. The Zone diet works to keep your blood sugar from shooting up and then crashing down. Each time your blood sugar does this, it makes you hungry and makes you eat more! On this diet, you eat foods with low-fat protein, low glycemic-load carbs (such as fruits and veggies), and heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, like olive oil. This is a safe way to eat, and, if you stick with it for the rest of your life, you will definitely lose weight.
That said, starting with a few simple changes at a time will probably work best for you, rather than jumping into a diet plan. That way, you can stick with the changes long-term. Please take the Personal Quiz and read your Personal Report for ideas to get started.
Q. What is the recommended amount of exercise while I am on the Zone diet?
A. It has always recommended exercising at least 30 minutes a day, three times a week. Excess exercise, while it is not a bad thing, has the potential to cause some inflammation. Exercise in conjunction with the Zone diet and high-dose fish oil can induce a powerful anti-inflammatory response that also helps repair damage to your muscle tissue. Moderate exercise, 30 minutes a day, six days a week will help you reach your weight loss goals.
